Rt. Hon. David Zacharias represents Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela, and Ofu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. He takes part in lawmaking, peace building, public safety, education, infrastructure development, and the protection of citizens through effective legislation and oversight.

He has sponsored and supported important bills and reforms, including:
- Establishment of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ugwolawo.
- A bill to establish a Federal College of Education (Technical) in Alloma, Ofu Local Government Area.
- A bill to establish a Federal Eye Centre in Ogbonicha for treatment and training.
- Amendment of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act.
- Repeal of the old Factories Act and enactment of the Occupational Health and Safety Act to improve worker safety.
- Legislative support for peace and boundary cooperation between communities in Kogi and Anambra States.
Motions and National Advocacy
Rt. Hon. Zacharias has raised motions on urgent issues affecting citizens, including:
- Gully erosion threats in Idah, Igalamela, and Ofu communities.
- Boat accidents and water transport safety in Ibaji.
- Rising cases of kidnapping and insecurity across the constituency.
- Emergency relief for flood and windstorm victims.
- Construction of strategic roads linking Kogi and Anambra States.
- Rehabilitation of the Ejule–Otukpa Road to improve safety and trade movement.

Rt. Hon. David Zacharias believes leadership must deliver visible results that improve people’s lives. His projects focus on education, empowerment, infrastructure, healthcare, security, and humanitarian support across the constituency.
Education Support
- Over 2,000 students supported with scholarships and school fee payments.
- Free WAEC, NECO, and JAMB forms for indigent students.
- Distribution of more than 10,000 textbooks, chairs, computers, generators, and laboratory kits to over 36 schools.
- Construction and renovation of classroom blocks in several communities.
- Facilitation of a National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Study Centre in Ejule.
Infrastructure Development
- Construction and opening of new roads linking Ofu and Igalamela areas.
- Ongoing maintenance works on the Ejule–Otukpa Road.
- Installation of solar-powered street lights in over 17 communities across the constituency.
- Installation of over 27 motorised boreholes to improve access to clean water.
- Renovation of Alloma Comprehensive Health Centre and Ejule Cottage Hospital.
Humanitarian and Social Support
- Supply of drugs, payment of auxiliary staff support, and medical assistance for vulnerable patients.
- Distribution of relief materials to flood and disaster victims.
- Financial support to widows affected by fuel subsidy removal.
- Youth cultural awareness programmes to promote heritage and tourism.
Youth and Women Empowerment
- Over 500 beneficiaries of federal cash transfer and business support programmes.
- Training of more than 150 farmers in fish farming and produce processing.
- Distribution of vehicles, tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, generators, grinding machines, and vocational tools.
- Over ₦10 million in grants provided to women traders and small businesses.

Job Creation and Employment Support
- Facilitation of employment into federal agencies including the Army, Police, Immigration, Fire Service, and paramilitary services.

- Peace-driven resolution of the Ibaji–Anambra oil dispute.
- Advocacy for the revival of the Idah Airstrip.
- Power extension projects and transformer installations.
- Security support through patrol vehicles and community intelligence collaboration.
